Following the success of the John Edwards is Hot shirt (I've sold over 100!) I made a couple more:

get it? Three purple hearts?

And for the Senate candidate from IL, Barack Obama...

Close up of the glitter:

Close up of red glitter (it just looks orange)

Materials/procedures I used:
- clear overhead projector plastic
- spray adhesive
- Jacquard fabric acrylics for the colors
- speedball screenprint ink in black
- tacky glitter adhesive for additional shine
- clear loose glitter
- red glitter paint that was advertised as some kind of halloween costume thing
- interference violet acrylic by Golden, this was to make the purple fabric paint look metallic. I am not sure if it will stay in the wash!

i've been with you guys since Glitter, but have never logged in or anything.  I want you to all know that I am so proud of all of you for being the individuals that you are.  It gives me hope.  I had to reply to these tshirts because my boyfriend and I are so glad there are still politically aware folks out there that are not afraid to voice their opinions (his fav site was shut down by political activists today, censorship, terrifying).  Make your shirts.  And thank you.  VOTE VOTE VOTE.

Those are terribly clever, especially the three purple hearts shirt. I'm sure you'll sell lots of them! Perhaps you should make a site specifically for your political shirts, if you haven't already.

There are two ways I do glitter.

First, I have some glitter paint that is basically a clear base with glitter in it. It is advertised as halloween costume glitter, and it doesn't come off at all in the wash.

For more variety, I use glue that is specifically for glitter and apply loose glitter. Over maybe 5 washes, a little comes off, but it stays really well. The glue is lost in my room now, but I think it was called rhinestone and glitter glue

awesome, thanks! ...after i read your post, i decided to walk my butt up to hobby lobby and look around for some glitter, and more fabric paint, and i got some sliver glitter for 67 cents, and a bigger bottle of red glitter for $1 (clearance rack) everything else was expensive...that leads me to my next question, if you get iron rhinestones, will they wash off? i got some for $1 in the clearance rack too, i figured i'd give it a shot.
thanx a bunches!
