I just finished this quilt and gave it to my brother-in-law's sister.  She loved it for her new son Jack.

I committed to making this quilt, then my own sister became pregnant with twins.  Just found out yesterday they are 2 girls so two more quilts to make by Christmas time.  I was concerned about being able to design the quilt so I purchased a Quilt Wizard cd-rom to aid in the layout.  I wanted it to be simple and without pieced blocks - just patchwork.  The program made it easy.  It's about $20, and for my purposes worth the money.

I really like the pattern of that quilt and the soothing colours. That would be a wonderful gift to recieve.

This pattern is called "Sunshine and Shadow."  The only reason why I know is because I'm in a quilting class and thats the quilt I'm making.  Yours looks so beautiful.  I can't wait until I'm able to mine up for the world to see.
