Wow, I just looked at your website and I am in awe! I love what you did with your daughter's bedroom!
Thanks!  I've been working on actual tutorials for the different stuff I did with her room.  At some point they'll be on my website (when I have 2 seconds, I guess!), but better than that, they'll be on The Leaky Cauldron's craft site.  If you haven't checked it out, it's growing every day and has some really great HP crafts:  http://69.61.75.155/#static:crafts.

I love the lion design you made.
Thanks very much!  It's one of my favorites.  Smiley

Sorry I've been gone so long. Am trying to get back on the boards. Body's thrown me for a few loops these past months and am still learning to adjust. Thanks for your patience.

Yeah, I was second in the last challenge to a cheeseburger.  My 1.5" Goblet of Fire is still recovering!   Wink

Wonderful job. I love how you used a quilted element on the outside for Gryffindor and some of that fabric for the inside. Two inside pockets and the little ones under the flap make this one of the most functional messenger bags I've seen.

Nice job.

I'll have to take some time later and peek at your website too.

Thank you so much!  I absolutely love paper piecing and quilting, and it's like having a bit of a security blanket for me to have some of my own art to carry around.  I made the bag shown for one of my best friends.  I carry one that has a Ravenclaw crest on the front, and I am absolutely in love with it.  I can slip a spiral notebook or file folder into it without it being mixed in with keys and clutter.  I use my front pockets for cell phone, sunglasses, checkbook, etc.

The original version (also a Gryffindor bag) was designed for, and partially by, my daughter.  She carries her violin to school with backpack straps and needed something for her school things.  She's given it what I call "the middle school test" and it's held up beautifully.  My son carries an X-men version that has worked out great, too.  His strap is much shorter (he's only Cool and I made the pockets bigger on his.  He really likes it and feels like a big kid not carrying a backpack.

My website has all the patterns, tutorials & design ideas that I share for free.  I'd love to hear any comments or suggestions.  I'm constantly updating & tweaking it to make it more useful and user friendly.

I think I already linked this (it's also linked under Galleries on my website).   I have a photo album for all the bags I've made this year:

I want to thank everyone that voted!  Voting is closed and my bag is in first place!  (squee!)  I love being able to represent the Harry Potter fans.  We're a huge group of active crafters that are very inspired by JK Rowling's masterpiece.
