I just got my Andean Treasure in a dark maroony red and going to cast on for it in the next few weeks.  Anyone want to join me?

Here's the site where you can get the pattern...

Hehehe! I was just going to start a thread too!  Grin

I got my Andean Treasure (Lilac) yesterday and I'm about 20 rows in now. I bought both the Lilac and the dark red color as I wasn't sure which one I wanted.. I decided on the Lilac (oooh so pretty) and I'll find something for the dark red later, this yarn is deliciously soft for the price! It really seems to knit up nicely too.

My gauge swatch was coming out at about 5.5 stitches per inch, as opposed to the patterns 6sts per inch.. Since I didn't have a pair of 4's to move down to, I've decided to try knitting one size smaller(XS). I guess I'll see how well this works out in a few days when I get to the arm CO's!

I'll post some pictures of my progress later. Looking forward to knitting this with ya'll  Cheesy

I am knitting Glee too so I am in!  I have been distracted by several other projects right now so it is not going as fast as I would like.  My bold orange version is a couple inches past the sleeves.

What I am trying to work out is if I want to add any shaping or not.  Is anyone adding any modifications?

WOES! Embarrassed I'm going to be a little delayed on progress pictures and well, progress in general.. I left my six inches of glorious Glee, knitting needles, row counter and all, on the MAX (Portland's public transit light rail system) this morning on my way to work..

I've called their lost and found office, but they won't know until tomorrow if anyone was able to recover it. Granted, it was only about six inches of work, and two balls of yummy mohair goodness down the drain if it's lost for good.. but oh! The agony.

..and I was so looking forward to knitting on the MAX ride home today too. Shoot.

Hi ladies - I don't post too often on this board (more of a lurker personality) but I'm doing a Glee as well and I thought I'd join up.  I'm working in a rustic single spun sport weight and I'm almost done the increases.  I'm doing the largest size so the increase rows feel like they are taking forever.  Hopefully I'll have the arms on separate stitch holder soon.  Can't wait to see everyone's progress!

After reading this post, I bought the Glee pattern.
Right now I'm working on the Glampyre simple knitted bodice (haven't contributed anything to that monster thread tho.)

I keep going to Knit Picks and drooling over the choices in colours for this...
I'm thinking of making one for my sister for Christmas or her birthday, has anyone seen the colour Lagoon in person, I can't decide if it's pretty or sort of gross.

I just cast on last night. I'm using knitpicks andean treasure in embers, it's SO soft. So far I've done the 4 rows of ribbing and about 6 or 8 rows of ST st. I wish I was at home knitting now...

This is next in my queue.  I think I'm going to use Rowan Calmer for this.  I have 2 more WIPs to finish up first though.  LOL.

i started this afternoon and i'm about 4 inches in, i had to recalculate the pattern though since i'm using supermerino on size 8's instead of the knitpicks on size 5's

I started mine in peach Andean Treasure last week.  I just joined under the arms last night, but...  I joined earlier than the pattern called for.  I just didn't want the slit neck to go down quite that far.  I'm going to make the sleeves a little bit longer too, and add some waist shaping.  I'm already planning a long-sleeved sweater with this yarn!

I just bought glee and after reading the pattern I thought about steeking.  Do you think that you could knit is all in the round and then steek the v-opening?  I just read Eunny J's steeking encyclopedia and think it could work to avoid all of the straight stock stitching...

I've never done steeking, but it's really not a "v" neck.  The sides of the "v" are straight and there are 12 stitches at the bottom, so it's more of a squared off "u".  I have no idea if that makes a difference, but it seems like it may.

I just found this knitalong - I was looking for one while working on the sweater, and I have NO idea why I didn't look here first. I didn't even find it while googling!

In any case, I finished up Glee recently. I love how it came out and rather happy with it:

I don't have enough posts to post a photo, but here's a direct link to the blog post:
http://lekkercraft.blogspot.com/2007/05/finally-gleeful-fo.html

I found the Andean Treasure an absolute dream to work with - so soft and easy to use.

That looks great!  I also just finished mine and also despised sewing on the hooks!  You're right, it's worth it though.
