I've been wanting to learn to embroider and picked up Jenny Hart's "Stitch It Kit".. and it is amazingly easy!  I love this kit!

Here's what I finished over the course of two nights: an embroidered cherry on a tea towel (from the kit), and an embroidered bird on a white pillowcase I had in my closet.

Thank you!  I am so excited about embroidering now.  @_@  I bought a pack of dishcloths for only $1.99 and have a lot of solid-colored shirts that I might put something on.  Yayyyy.

Gorgeous! I really love how you embroidered the birdie. I'm feeling kind of inspired to break out my kit and make a similar pillowcase for myself now. Smiley Isn't the kit great? And Jenny has a book coming out too...

You're a natural!  The bird is lovely, esp. your satin stitch (that's a hard stitch for me...I'm never totally satisfied).
