okay, so it's not friday where I'm at but it is *somewhere* Cheesy
and I simply coudln't wait to share because I've been MIA for so long here!

I'm starting my holiday knotting believe it or not, and I had to do some spinning for one of my projects.
This is 300 yards of handspun singles - handblended merino wool with some sparkle

Verbena colorway, in case you're interested Smiley from my shop

I can't wait to start knitting it!

Mmmm, I love that colour! It's Friday where I am, so you're totally allowed to post Cheesy

I've got yarn to show off, but not til I get home from school (oh, the waiting is torture).

Yay for sparkle fibers!  Water Lilies looks absolutely gorgeous knitted up - what are you planning on knitting out of it?

I've got an absolute ton of stuff this week, since I missed Fiber Friday last week.  Sorry if this bogs down the whole topic.  Smiley

A Pot of Marshmallows at the End of the Rainbow:

Fandango (Another one - I love the name Fandango, so I keep using it):

Nutmeg Pie:

Speed Kills (2 skeins):

Oceanside (2 skeins - my thinnest 2-ply ever!)

And finally, the one I don't have a name for yet:

Lufah, I love the last one! Did you ply all three yarns at a time or do a two ply and then ply it with the other?

I can't stand it!  I adore Fiber Friday!  My community college offers some spinning classes and I think I might try learning this.  I'm going to do some research though, because prepared roving really seems expensive on my budget.

Wow, Lufah!  Is that a true boucle?!!  How exciting!  You have to ply it twice, right?  I don't really get how you do that, though I'd read how to do it a million times.

I also really love your yarn bitibis that you have all spun up.  Amazing!

Here are two of mine...finally I figured out how to do coils where the yarn does not break and I dont want to throw my wheel across the room!

Fantastic Fiber Friday this week! Welcome back woodlandsprite! misshawklet, those are some MAD coils. I love it! Lufah, I like the name fandango too, and I especially love the nutmeg pie yarn! Plus your boucle skills are amazing. bitibis - I also dig the water lillies, thanks for showing it knit up!

I only have two this week: Bulky 4+ oz. 2-ply blend of merino, targhee and rambouillet.

I dyed some roving using aguas frescas kool-aid:

Then spun it up into thick-thin singles to see the colors together:
