So I just moved back to No.VA (graduated from school...) and am sorely lacking in friends who not only like to craft but like it enough to make time to do it!  If anyone else out there is similarly deficient, reply to this thread or contact me in some other way!

Let's get a No.VA crafting group going!

That sounds great... Where would the group meet?

I dunno... I thought maybe we could meet up at a Starbucks or something first and then if people weren't weirded out, we could meet later at my place?

I'm in McLean/Vienna/Reston.  What kind of crafts do you guys all do?  Could we meet at a Starbucks, do some crafting and figure out where to go from there?  Or would you guys need more space?

Hi guys! I'd be totally game too... I actually live in DC... but I am a northern virginia-er at heart! Smiley

Hi Guys -

Carfty Bastards is coming up on 1 October - would that be a good place to try to meet up and see if we can get something going?  I'm getting antsy for some group crafty time!

Ok, so I'm joining this post late but still looking for some crafty friends to get me back in the swing of things since work has drained my creativity lately.
I live in Sterling and would be up for another meeting.

Looks like we've got the beginnings of a good group for a knitting/crafting group @ the Caribou Coffee in Adams Morgan on the 18th (7-9pm).  Come on out if you're interested!

Oops, I looked at the date wrong.
With my work schedule (and location) I can't possibly get to anything in that area during the week, but keep me posted for future get togethers.

Aw, I missed out. Of course, being the young high schooler craftster I am without a driver's permit (much less a license), the thought of meeting random craftsters from online doesn't quite appeal to my parents much.

Maybe when another craft fair comes around we can all meet up!

Hi guys -

Here's another meeting opportunity for us!  I'm doing a craft fair this Saturday, the 4th (so is one of my friends, who is on here, but I don't know what her screen name is - her shop is notkidding.etsy.com, if you wanna check it out).  It's the Broad Run High School craft fair in Ashburn.  The show hours are from 10am-4pm, and we'll be there all day.  It's indoors, so you won't freeze (though it's been quite warm anyways).

Here's some info: http://www.loudoun.k12.va.us/509759161361/cwp/view.asp?A=3&Q=324446&C=63629

I'd love to meet you guys, so come stop by - my booth is called "Silver Lining."  We're thinking of trying to have meetings at my apt, which is in McLean, so that might be easier for some of you to get to.  We've even got a nice clubhouse thing here, which supposedly I can reserve if we need more space.  Smiley

Sorry for the long post, but I'm excited to meet some cool new craftsters! Grin

Gwen, you've neglected to update!!  We do have a small group now and we've been meeting on Sunday afternoons (twice now) at Gwen's place.  I know you keep talking about wanting to meet more people, maybe and new post will attract attention . . . .
