A friend at work and I decided we just had to do something with those little perler beads, and this is what I came up with. I don't even use coasters, but these things were just too fun to pass up. When I was doing these, I realized that the last time I used these beads, I wasn't even old enough to handle the iron myself. I'll probably be giving some of these out as gifts just so I can have an excuse to do more of them.

Thanks!

Springtime: I think this pixelated kind of stuff is great for these beads, and a lot of other crafts that are based on a little grid. I'd love to see what you make! Be sure to post it.

VivCatGirl: These are a lot of fun to make, so I'd recommend that, but if you're interested, I'd love to swap some your way. Just send me a PM if that sounds fun to you. I'm really getting into swaps these days, so I'm always looking for new partners.

Those are such a nifty idea! Now I'm invisioning all sorts of video game coasters. I wonder if I still have my beads like that. I know what you mean though, I last time I used them I was definitely too young to use the iron by myself  Smiley

Those are AWESOME! I used to do perler beads all the time... too bad I don't have any now, I'd be whipping up some of these! A Pac-Man one would be really cool, too.

Thanks, guys! They sell all kinds of cool perler beads these days, so if you can't find your old ones, I'd go check out the new types they have. Also, a set of Tetris coasters would be awesome! I may have to make some of those up very soon.

I love these.    They gave me the idea to make a Dragon Warrior slime coaster set.    I'll post pictures when I'm finished.

Very cute, they'd also look great as necklaces (I have made one of each space invader).
