WoW! What a cool package! Well I've started my project, I'm doing the spiderweb capelet from SnB. I have uncovered 3 gifts so far...a pairs of little piggy patches, a sachet of Chocolate Orange Options (low calorie hot chocolate drink! Yum yum!) and some Felix Kitty treats for my kittys! Sarah- they will love you! Hee hee!

Okay. This is officially the funniest swap I have ever seen - and I didn't look at it twice before since I didn't know what it was and over the summer I got pretty swapped out - waiting for feedback here or there and all (darn slow overseas/borders shipping... and I don't even mail out on the slow boat!)

I really and truly hope there is another round of this one..

a question though - how in the heck does one wrap a pattern book inside a ball of yarn without it getting ruined???!!!

We didn't wrap the the patterns. Or at least me nor my partner did.  I guess we were worried about them ruining, or maybe we just didn't think about it Wink

This swap has be GREAT! You should definitely join in next round!

You KNOW I will be there - as long as I see it!  I hope I don't miss out.  It did look like just too much fun!

After feeling ill all day I got to have a happy end to the day when I saw my yarn ball had arrived from Kiwimonkey.  Grin

1st...a picture of the inside of the pouch I made for Kiwimonkey. It was hard to give it up.

Here is the ball. Off-white, slightly buttery yellow Caron Simply Soft. Dreamy

All the goodies that were inside!

Check this out!!! A zipper bag made from woven measureing tapes. How frickin awesome is that. I love it madly

Stickers with my username and avatar. How cute.

Gorgeous fabrics! Wooo

Check out the charms on these babies. A yarn ball (how appropriate), glue gun, rooster, and a sewing machine.

Boob magnets (one set's tassles fell off sad to report), and cool postcard magnets

Purple wine charms/stitch markers.

There were also pen grips, animal glue sticks, a pink crochet hook, adorable little cupcake candles, hello kitty lip glosses, a green glass bead bracelet (that totally goes with a necklace and earring set I picked up recently...score!), and cool spirograph sets!

Thank you!!

Oh yes, and the pattern is for a Daisy Pattern Shrug. I can't wait to try it.  Grin

I received a yarn ball from my partner, redheadskydiver, this evening Smiley  She sent me a skein of Elsebeth Lavold Silky Wool to make Knitty's Branching Out scarf!  It's perfect!  Here's a picture of everything...fresh out of the manila envelope!

Being the impatient sort (and using the excuse that I already have way too many WIPs to start another project), I unravelled the yarn ball to find the goodies that are hidden within:

  • 2007 mini calendar with a tiny carabiner
  • foam stamps (whale, octopus and seahorse)
  • wood magnets (rabbit, cat, sheep, giraffe and pig)
  • stitch markers (purple beads and a cute turtle charm)
  • tape measure
  • hand mirror
  • pair of earrings with crocheted circles
  • cool microscope pendant
  • stickers

Thanks for everything, redheadskydiver!!

silky wool...oh my that sounds delish! that slide pendant looks beautiful

i found another pic of something I put into Kiwimonkey's ball. These little stitch markers. I got the cute little charms from Alleycat.rm in the beadsoup swap ages ago.

now I think I am going to try the daisy petal pattern before I head to bed (oh sleep how I hope you will make me feel better ugh)

and yes, kiwi managed to fit all that stuff in the yarn ball! i wondered how it was so heavy until i got to the bag and found the fabric in there.
