Ok i need help!! i have 5 bra's i love (got them @lane bryant when the economy was better) cups are fine, but the sides are shot. ( the sides weren't wide enough for my likeing anyway.) i got supplies from sew sassy last year. ( great products & the cheapest prices) & have finally made a pattern for the sides i like(ya know to hold the "wings" in) the problem i have is the sewing. i have 2 different machines. i've tried different size needles, different size stitches,& different feet. & i'm still LOOSING MY MIND!!!! & i know its not the machines. i'm using powernet & i keep skipping stitches. i asked the guy @ my sewing machine repair shop & he looked at me llike i was crazy. PLEASE HELP!! BEFORE I GO BRA LESS ( A SCARY SITE) OR BREAK MY WINDOWS BECAUSE I'VE FINALLY THROWN THE MACHINES THREW THEM.

Sew by hand?
That's my solution when my machine drives me crazy, but I don't know whether it would work for you.

I don't think sewing by hand would work, because that would take away all the stretch. What stitch do you use? I usually use a tripple zigzag stitch to attach the elastic. I also use low tension.
I hope this helps.

There actually are handsewing stitches with some stretch in them. I just don't know the names in English---with most of them not even in Czech. I just experiment with it.

Anyone know where I can find a pattern?

Read the thread. There's lots of info on where to obtain patterns and how to make them in the thread.

I did. Perhaps I missed it? Every link I can find for patterns does not go up to a K cup.

If you have an existing bra that fits, take it apart and make a pattern. Barring that, you need a pattern with a 34 band and the equivalent cup size belonging to a 34k.
What you need to understand is that the cup size for a 34k is the same cup size as a 36j which equals the cup size of a 38i (are "i"s used where you are?), which is the same cup size as a 40h, which is the same as a 42g = 44f = 44e = 46d = 48c = 50b
With the caveat that I don't know exactly how the bra size works where you are, as in whether a ddd=f or the bra size progression goes d dd ddd e f g - that'll make a difference - but this gives you the general idea.
So if you have a pattern for a bra cup for a 48C, you can cobble it together with a 34 band size and make necessary adjustments.
There are also links upstream on resources that teach you how to make your own bra pattern.

Thank you, LMAshton. That certainly helps.
I have the bra makers manual on request at the library, and I'm currently searching for patterns.
I have one bra. I got it at a lingerie shop. I need a 34K but all they had was a 34H so that's what I've been wearing for a year. My cup still runneth over, and this is from a bra shop. *sigh*
