Hey all, I'm currently making a circle skirt and after I got it sewn together I thought it might look good high waisted.  Not really sure it that would be a good or bad thing for my body shape though.  I have an hourglass figure so I was thinking it might accentuate my small waist Huh  Anyway it's a work in progress, I'm probably gonna add a contrast band on the bottom, cause it's a little short for my taste, and definitely will if I make it high waisted.  Anyway onto the pictures, sorry about the crappy camera phone mirror shot, I didn't feel like looking for my camera. First sitting how it is now

Now pinned so it's high waisted

Ok, so honest opinion, which way does it look better?
Thanks in advance!

I know it is too late but I love the high waist on you! It hides the hour glass on the bottom! Did you add an accent colour band on the bottom?

Thanks for your answers even if they are late!  Responses are always appreciated! Cheesy  I did add a contrast on the bottom, a lovely teal/aqua blue that matches the blue on the skirt.  I'll make a proper post when I get someone to help me take better pictures and then post the link in here  Smiley

I honestly liked it high waisted XD haha this is uber late but if your making another one anytime soon you could put grommets in the back and that would allow it to be both high waisted and for it to sit on your hips right?

That's brilliant!  Wow I wish I'd seen that before cutting up the skirt, could have given it a nice corset feel if high waisted!  I'll definitely keep that in mind if I make another, thanks! Smiley

I'm late to the party, too, but I also liked it lower on you.  Either way, very cute skirt!
