...and I don't know if I can do it!!! Cry

We were in Hell today (Walmart) and as I was leaving, I noticed the LOST season 2 DVD poster(September 5!!!  SQUEEEE!).  Now, I am absolutely nuts for LOST.  So, I told him that if he'd buy it for me, I'd not buy craft supplies for a few weeks (till the week after it comes out).  I have a huge stash, so it seemed like it would be easy... Roll Eyes

I'm out of sewing machine needles.  Oops...  So, I can either steal my best friend's needles, beg my mom to buy them, or not sew for a few weeks.  Fortunately, I've got all the sewing that I need to do for the one swap I'm in right now done.  Eep... what to do, what to do....

Oh, ouch!
Thats why i stopped making bets.  If you feel it's not that important you can go without sewing, but you can always list them to trade in the classifieds.
Good luck!

I don't think needles count they are obviously tools and not supplies.  Roll Eyes Cool

I would borrow some from a friend. Maybe trade her something she might need from your stash??

lol - yeah, they're tools.... Sadly, I don't think he'd go for it.  But I'll just borrow some from my best friend - she works full time, and doesn't have much time to sew (she sleeps instead  Roll Eyes ), plus she has the same machine as me, so I know they fit.  lol

And failing that, when I go to my mom's to sew tomorrow night, I'll just give her puppy dog eyes (and tell her I'll pay her back the week after LOST)  lol.

lol  Thanks, d!  I'm sure I can manage to find some, but I appreciate the offer!

The stupid thing is, I actually have a small drawer full of them, plus a few tomatoes - but they're all ballpoint, self threading (which I HATE!!!), or twin needles.  (My local salvage store gets them in occasionally.  When I see them for 39 cents a pack, I stock up.  lol  I have enough of those needles to last my lifetime.  Roll Eyes  )   Actually, I guess I could try the self threading ones, come to think of it.  It's only three weeks, right?

How about trying your twin needles?  I can't see any reason why you would have to thread both eyes.

There's always your credit card!  You probably won't get the bill for a few weeks, so technically you aren't purchasing anything now, right?

lol - I don't have credit cards because that's my reasoning as well - I am afraid I'd be $10, 000 in debt after my first trip to Portland - JoAnn's, AC Moore, and Michaels, all relatively close to each other.  Eep.  lol
