With the help of my boyfriend...we fashioned this fun shoerack, bench thingy for the front door. Quick trip to home depot, a hand saw, chisel (sp?) and woodglue. YAY!

Ya...see that was a start of an argument...I want to stain it, the boyfriend wants to just clear coat it.

So it sits unfinished, for now.

Until he leaves one day I stain it anyways.  Tongue

it would look gorgeous stained orange and then either polyurethaned or matte waxed, it really is a nice looking piece. Very simple and scandinavian

I just wanted a shoe rack (there's a mountain of shoes sitting by the door)...but I wasn't paying 20 dollars for a flimsy plastic one.

The wood and glue only cost about 15 dollars.

We're tackling matching living room furniture next.
