i read about this on the laundromatic.net boards a really long time ago but i tried it out recently

i took an old pair of size 0 jeans and sewed straight across both layers of fabric horizontally, down all of both of the legs. in some spots i sewed some vertical lines. after i did all the sewing i cut across the first layer only, to make a pocket. it's not easily explained for me, so i have a picture, but it's pretty bad

i also made another, out of a sleeveless shirt, but it didn't work as well bc the fabric was too stretchy. i'm going to make another organizer out of scratch.. it's really easy, i plan to do it like this

i know, the idea of using hangers seems a little tacky, but i just put mine in the closet anyway, they don't have to look pretty lol

ooooh.. thats a cute idea. but what if you found a way to secure it to the back of your closet door somehow... like take a piece of cardboard or thin wooden board and hot glued (or something else) the pants on it so they would have a little more support. because from the picture they seem a little unstable. maybe its just me though..

i would sew the legs together too, just to keep them from flopping around.

this is such a great idea...i could make pockets for all my sandals to put them away neatly, instead of them being on a heap on the closet floor.
