I honestly *never* thought fruit could be fashionable...  I used to cringe at pants/shirts/shoes/anything with tacky fruits on them...

After this post, I've changed my mind.  You're fruit hats are adorable!  I would definitely wear an apple, or a strawberry hat walking around campus.  If you ever feel like releasing a pattern for a poor, hatless, fruitless, college student/beginning crocheter- - I would be a very happy fruit hat wearing girl. Smiley Wink Smiley

PS-  My friend Moira would adore your fawn scarf...  I'm going to bookmark this thread to show it to her.
Nice work again!!!

It has been suggested to make patterns and sell them, but I'm not sure how I would go about doing that (just text and some pictures, right?) and how much I would price them.

I absolutely love your icon, haha. Avatar avatar!

I made them up. I thought, Wow, I should make fruit!...so I did! I'm thinking of making and selling patterns though if you want me to keep you posted Grin! The strawberry was the hardest beanie to make though (not to mention I burnt my finger, wah!) because of the leaves xP...

Most people charge $3-5 for patterns and it's basically just text, but it's text that you wrote! You could just send the text file over email once you receive paypal payment or something like that. I've never sold patterns, but I've bought some and that's how they were set up.

I was wondering about your scarf - how'd you get the hole to insert the other side through? Did you have to just crochet up one side and then go back and crochet the other to the same height before continuing on?

Your fruity beanies are great!  I'm not sure which one I like best.

Have you ever considered making smaller ones for children?

Basically, that is what I do. I have a whole counting system going on and after you break off, you have to start at a certain place so that everything goes well.

Thank you so much! Actually, yes I have! I am making a strawberry one for my little cousin Hannah. She has neuroblastoma ;-;...everyone things she will look so cute in a strawberry! The only difference is that you just work on a smaller scale. And actually, not THAT small, just a few inches, because babies and kids actually have really big heads, I have found! Almost our size!

About the price for pattern question... I would be willing to pay 3-5 dollars for the patterns. I would say charge at least 5 for all patterns (maybe 8 or so) or charge 3-4 for one pattern. Definitely let me know. Smiley I would be your first customer!
And remember if you come up with a pattern trademark/copyright it! That way when you have a nice collection, you can do a book! You know us craftsters! We would buy it!  Great job!
