I have started yet another starghan and I also taught my daughter how to make one yesterday, instead of showing her how or just giving her the pattern to read I told her step by step how to do it and it worked. She just needs to get her stitches a little tighter

GOOD FOR YOU!!! I can't wait to teach my granddaughter, I had 3 boys and crafting was not a priority, so the granddaughters are going to learn everything! I have one who was due to arrive yesterday but she has decided to be late and make a grand entance on her time. . the 2 year old already tries, she plays with the hook and yarn when I crochet she has her own!

reviving the thread to let people know that hopefully i'll have a finished star baby-ghan soon
and really hoping it'll be soon enough that i can make another before their due dates

Finally posting pictures of my star baby blanket.  I used sport weight yarn and since I didn't know if it was going to be a girl or boy I used pink, blue and white.

Is anyone still working on stars?? I was going to make my 17 yr old DD a gaint RR but she decided she wanted a giant star, I just finished a baby RR and will be starting a star sometime today or this week.

I have a half way finished one sitting in a basket....

still working on my 2. sigh...

I gave up and handed over my incomplete stars and yarn to another crafter. I just don't have the mojo for this project anymore. Maybe when I'm better and quicker at crochet.

I've made another
This was made for an auction held to benefit a friend who lost her daughter to SIDS. All proceeds went to help cover the legal & medical expenses of the family.
Coincidentally, another friend was the winning bidder. The two do not know each other, just happened that way.



And DS for size...he's 3 1/2, 39" tall. He also picked the colours for it, and was pretty much on top of me messing up my yarns the whole time.

I'm in!! I'm doing a rainbow colored one with Caron Simply Soft Brites similar to one posted on here.  No progress pic yet though.

I've made a 12 point star rainbow blanket for my friend who's baby was born in november....yes it was meant to be finished ages ago, I used pastel rainbow colours, I just need to finish with pink, it's beautiful!
