SK2 just means to skip two.  You do not double crochet into two of the double crochet stitches of the previous round.  You skip two, then go into the next one after that.

Hope this helps.

I am so envious of you lot in the USA Cry-you seem to have such a great selection of lys's.  I live in the wilds of Wales, over the pond, and we have one store in the town-the rest of my stash is either charity store finds or ebay (curse that blasted ebay-I have to build an extension to the house just to feed my addiction to yarn...).  My LYS is good-but small.

I too am following the starghan, and am determined to crack the beginning star-I am trying to follow the simple start as kindly suggested by Koi in one of the many strands of this thread, and now have several little lime stars littering my room-I am a perfectionist, new to crochet, but old to knitting, and I will break this pattern!   Tongue
I just love all the weird and wonderful-sounding yarns you use-Red Heart, Koigu, Lion, Bernat brands are unfamiliar in this neck of the woods-I use a lot of Rowan, Debbie bliss, Louisa Harding, and I have accumulated a whole heap of Robin acrylic-in bright strong colours to try and emulate the wondrous giant rainbow blanket.  My husband thinks I have entered premature menopause  Roll Eyes(yes he is a mcp) or pining for another sprog (!) I'll just have tolearn to work faster to use up the stash Wink...then buy some more to replace it! Grin
