great starghans!

oh, the joys of the last few rows....the purple one I made for Kookaloo was over 50rnds lol
I think the only way I got through it was the fact that it was winter and I was pregnant. I sat on the couch for hours on end crocheting with the TV or radio for background noise, watching the baby move the blanket across my stomach.

I started on this CAL today with the intention of making this for my SIL's new baby. Unfortunately since I'm overseas (S. Korea) I'm dealing with a fairly limited selection of good baby yarn. I'd love to get my hands on some cheap red heart/ tlc/ or caron. haha. I found a good assortment of yarns today when I went into Seoul but they cost me an arm and a leg. Ugh... Anyways, thanks to the posters on this thread, I was able to quickly start this project with minimal frogging... it's bunching up quite a bit tho. I expect it'll flatten out after I finish it and wash it.

i started on my starghan on monday, after learning how to crochet last weekend. so this is my first official project. i'm on round 22, and plan to make it gigantic, as it is for me, and not a baby, unlike most on here. i feel greedy.  Tongue

anyone who did a ghan for an adult, how many rounds did you do? i get anxious and like to count how any i have left, it makes me feel more accomplished. i'm silly like that. i'm using a G hook if that helps. i think i'm on row 23 now, and it covers my more than my lap. i was thinking about i was thinking maybe 42 more rounds, but i just wanted to get some of your input.

thanks!

Weel, I posted a LONG time ago about the 2 I was working on. I just recently finished my DD "CrazY' blanket at 28 rows, and it fits her perfectly (she's just about 3.5 feet tall, and if she drapes it around her shoulders, it drags on the floor!!!

Number three is in process, I am using a double strand of a baby weight yarn, and every fifth yarn is a half-strand of chenille, I HATE doing the round after the cheille, cuz I CAN"T SEE MY STITCHES!!! BUt it's cute, and adds a texture that i thinkis good fora baby blanket!

Everyones blankets are looking SOOO GOOD!! So much inspiration....

OF which, I am thinking of trying some things out on the next one like FPDC's to add texture. It should be a lot of fun!

Just found this crochet along, I am making one for my sister, in red, white and blue because she is so patriotic! I'm on the 23rd round, and this was pretty easy for my first crochet project, here si a picture of it right now, it's not finished yet, I'll probably add one or two more full color sequences, (red, white, blue, white)
