Hopefully the corners won't curve so much once it's finished.  Undecided

why not? makes it look like a starfish... oops, it's called a Sea Star now, 'cause it's not a fish.  Undecided

There are lots of things that are called common names of things that they aren't.  So stick with Starfish!!!  If you want, anyhow.  There is supposedly a grammatical rule about the usage, where they are supposed to be separate if it is really a fish, and together if it isn't.  I have never found this rule, but my inverts instructor has a thing for grammer, so I tend to believe it.  Who knows!?

I think the corners happen like that when you are skipping a stitch on accident, right after the shell make sure there isn't a stitch hiding under there!

No, I promise you I'm not missing a stitch. Maybe I should be skipping that stitch after the shell instead. I will try it with the next color (green) and get back to you. Smiley

Completely rainbow obsessed SAHM to 3 & hoping to add #4 to our family this fall!

Have old jeans, pillowcases, or t-shirts? I'll take them! I'm also always looking for the sleeves to women's long sleeved shirts!

I think I am going to try crocheting this up over the next couple of months for a friend who is expecting. My crochet skills are a wee bit out of practice but I am going to need something to keep me busy by my fireplace in my new pad this winter.

Thanks MishyMishy for that dynamite Flickr tut. Holy heck that is comprehensive.

I love looking at the different effects the colours produce...I think I am going to go with bold rainbow colours.

I have been looking at this blanket for awhile now.  I printed the pattern months ago.  I have three friends who are expecting so I thought I would try this one.  I started it this morning and am on row 7.  It seems to workup pretty quickly as long as I don't get bored.  I am using Caron Simply soft in Blue mint and Limelight.  I wasn't too sure about the color combo, but I think I like it.  I will post pictures a little farther down the road.  By the way, I read through the whole post!  Thank you so much for all of your tips and help.  This site rocks!

Okay so all my other projects that I have been working on have been turning into mud... so I picked this back up again! I started on it about 4 months ago and tossed it aside (don't remember why though). I am using Caron's natura in light pink, white and lavendar. A friend of mine is having a baby in a few months so I have to get this finished anyway! Hopefully I can get some picks up by the end of the week.
