Jeeze!  They all look so good!  I've finished mine, and it's delicious!  I can't wait to send it to my brother!

This went a lot quicker than I thought it would, but I think that's because I used the Chenille T&Q and a huge hook, size N I think.  Anyway, now I'm off to work on a few other projects I have going on.  I can't wait to see the rest of these finished!  Keep hooking!

Anyone else have any issues with the blanket...ruffling? I don't know what I'm doing but my star doesn't lay down flat. Any suggestions?

I had that problem.  To fix it I just skipped a stitch after doing the star tip...

Yarn is my drug of choice

I attempted making this as a full size blanket but quickly realized how much yarn that would actually require. So it's a lapghan. I basically took a couple random leftover colors from my stash, crossed my fingers, and hoped they look good. I made it with a size P hook so it's really lacy-ish. I used a P cause I call it my lazy hook, i was to lazy to actually crochet so much and just wanted some quick gratification. It only took me 15 rows! the lapghan measures 4 feet from one point to the another across. I thinking of making another one for my not-yet-born cousin (due january), but this time I would actually use the right hook Wink

p.s. Everyone's blankets look great!

After browsing this thread and seeing all the fabulous blankets, I had to try making one of my own.  Not the greatest pics, but here's how it turned out:

WIP

Finished and blocking.  The pill bottle, in which I store my blocking pins, will give you an idea of the size.

I used Bernat Cottontots (100% machine-washable cotton, because it's a stroller blanket for someone who's expecting), and a 5.00mm hook.  The colours are Berry Blue, Grape Berry and Lime.

Before seeing this crochet-along, I started the star afghan last night, and decided to bag it because it was boring.

However, now that I have seen all these GORGEOUS finished ones, I am inspired to carry on!  Your FOs are beautiful.  Thank you all for taking the time to share the pictures.
