So I'm going to be starting a star shaped baby blanket pretty soon.  My brother just found out he and his wife are expecting their first(YAY! They've been trying for three years!).  Anyone want to join me?  The pattern is here:

http://www.angelfire.com/va3/heartfeltangels/littlestarafghan.html

I went out and bought six skeins of Lion Brand Chenille Thick and Quick; two in Scarlet, two in Antique White, and two in Royal Blue.  My brother is in the army(hence the red, white, and blue) and they don't know what they're having yet.  I've been dying for a reason to use this super soft and cuddly yarn.  So if there is anyone out there that would like to stitch this up with me, I'll most likely start this week.

Have Fun!

I started one (my second) yesterday! I'm trying to bush my stash and my ripple blanket got boring....sooo, another star baby blanket. it's so easy! mine is in a minty green and a dark forest green. kind of boring, but I have a pound in both colors, so I'm going to just keep going until I run out of yarn. I'm about 15 rows in, and it's shaping up pretty nicely. I'll take pictures tomorrow, when there's light out.

the first I made is this one:

it was made with Bernat cottontots. I used 2 balls each of blue, yellow, and a variagated. it's soft, yet thick! it only took me a few days, off and on, to complete.

I found the other thread in the Completed Projects section...
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=23816.0

But I like the idea of having a thread here in the crochet-a-longs section too...

I LOVE this pattern! I think it's adorable. But I wanted to make an adult sized one for my friend. I'm trying to get it done for her birthday.. which is Sept. 23.. so I have a few weeks to finish up. Cheesy

Here's what I have done so far...

My goal is to do 30 rounds. I'm hoping that'll be big enough. I have nine more to go! But it's taking forever to do each round!

I will join as well. I am going to make it for myself.  Yes I know I'm selfish but I just love this pattern.  I will make mine with black and hot pink, which I already have in my stash.  Will post a progress picture soon.

Neat!  I'll post a progress picture as soon as I get one.  I've finished all the blue rounds and started the white.  The chenille t&q is a little harder to work with than I thought it would be, but the rounds work up pretty quickly and the end result is so yummy!  I leave it at work and crochet on my down time(during nap time and my break time, I'm a preschool teacher), I'll have to bring my camera and snap a pic next week to post.  Thanks to all for joining me!

I'm 27 rows in. I'm using acrylic worsted weight yarn and an I hook.

I'm making it for a friend, but my son keeps trying to snatch it from me, while I'm working. I still have a ton of yarn left, so we'll see how big it gets..
