Hey there folks. Here is a quilt I just finished for my Dad. My fiance and I are putting together a "chemo comfort kit" with things such as a quilt, ginger pills (to help with an upset tummy), water, and maybe a microwave heating pad.

I call it "Rainbow Sorbet" because I can't think of anything better. The top is made from one peice of batik that had a bunch of different colors in it, and the back is a green batik.

Here is the whole thing.


Here is an artsy fartsy shot to show off the back.


Here is a shot to show off some of the great colors and the (crappy) quilting job I did on my machine.


And here is a shot of my best helper checking things out to put her final stamp of approval. (AKA 30lb of cat hair)

Gorgeous quilt! And when you're going through chemo something like a quilt can really give you comfort. I am sure he will love it! Smiley

That's such a gorgeous quilt, I know that your father will really love it and cherish it always.

Thoughtful gift, and those are the ones that mean the most.

Thank you all for the encouragement and stuff. In case anyone was interested, this is what I included in the kit.

1 Quilt (duh, hehe)
2 6"X6" flax seed pillows for joint pain
1 12"X12" "floppy"  flax seed and brown rice pillow
1 bottle of ginger pills for Nausea
1 bottle of airborn to help ward off infection
1 stress ball for pain management/throwing at nurses/doctors/wife
1 travel scrabble
1 magnetic checkers and ludo game
1 book soduko
1 mechanical pencil and pen set
1 deck card
1 deck uno
information on acupuncture helping with neuropathy
