Thanks everybody!! I am trying to get stuff together to put in a little boutique store and meanwhile, to stock my site, and maybe to sell at a festival thing. So the feedback really makes me happy! Grin

yarncookie- I was out most of the day but noticed your reply just after I finished updating my site and before I went. It made me smile all afternoon. Thanks a bunch!!

SewPixie-Thanks for the comments! That ruffle skirt fabric looks busy, but it is small, so it looks fallish from more than a foot away. The fabric for the other skirt you mentioned is a taupe 'weathered' rayon. VERY soft and drapey. The bottom is actually stripes on gauze, so while there is some gentle pleating/gathering, it is not accordion pleats.

peardream-Thank you!! I don't use patterns other than my own, but I do use some for reference occasionally, especially vintage patterns. These are modified pencil skirts.

ibmomof2-so cool that you found 2!! The band might work great on the hem, because of the added weight. You should post it when you finish. I'd love to see the other take on this pillowcase!!

Thanks guys!! Your encouragement gives me that extra confidence I need. It gets a litttle wobbly sometimes! Smiley

pinksqueak-applique is kinda fun, especially if you don't worry about it too much and just do it.

eremira- hi, lady! Thanks! Sweet words from a cool lady!!

ms. cate - Thanks! Actually it's machine stitching- a satin or buttonhole stitch set on narrow.
