Here is an update on the progress so far....
Not much has been done this week.  Tongue I did get the initials sewn on.  The date, however is giving me a headache, because I don't want to spell it out, and it looks lop-sided when I use just the numbers!
oh, what is a girl to do?  I am leaning towards lopsidedness....because I think I need to put the date on.

I will add an updated pic soon...maybe today or tomorrow.

oh, and does anyone have any thoughts on how I should actually QUILT it?   Huh I was thinking that simple would be best, but I am open to all ideas!

Thank you for your lovely compliments and fabulous ideas, everyone!

what if you put the numbers on in an irregular fashion(not lined up perfectly vertically or horizontally)?  Maybe you could even place them on in an arc?  You might be able to eliminate that lopsided feeling that way.

I think some sort of hearts would be cool for the actual quilting since it is a wedding present.

Oh, You could always be sneeky and quilt the date somewhere if you can't get the placement of the date to not feel lopsided.

I can't wait to see another picture!

Ok, folks....Here are the updated pictures.  I did the date this morning.  I picked it out at least 2 times....I suppose I am happy with it now....At the very least, I am content with it!  Undecided

Funny, that is what I decided on doing, and then I read your post!  It really does look less lopsided that way.
