Inspired by Eunny's mini argyle stockings (http://www.eunnyjang.com/knit/2006/03/miniargyle_stockings.html) and my own impatience to wait for a pattern:

I used the chart (http://www.eunnyjang.com/knit/2006/02/and_were_off.html) she posted and the rest I figured out on my own.

More info can be found on my blog.

ohh wow. those are lovely. i often hate colorwork (except fair isle), but those look divine! what kind of yarn did you use? what tension were you getting?

Thanks!

I used Dale of Norway Baby Ull (I bought two balls of each color). My gauge was 28 sts and 32 rows=4x4 inch square (10x10cm) on US2 (2.75mm) needles.

Wow, those are great!  I love knee socks.  Is that the first time you ever did colorwork? I'm still trying to work up the courage.

I fell in love with Eunny's socks too! I too am desperate for the pattern. I really love yours too, anything argyle is adorable. I wish I had the math skills to figure out sock making from scratch, I've only just mastered patternless hats!
