I'm not sure where this goes since I couldn't find a place in the special occasion forum, but this is for my dad's girlfriend's birthday. We have a semi-common bond through knitting. She's also a very big fan of Starbucks, and using an idea I saw at the bookstore, I put this together for her along with a Starbucks gift card:

The yarn is Caron Simply Soft and the needles are US8. I'm trying to find a simple simple pattern that I can print out to include with the gift. I'm about to hit the Knitty archive, but if anyone knows of anything else, I'd super-appreciate it!

That's cute! I just saw a similar thing at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.  They were charging $19.00.

I don't know if you've heard of it, but there is this place online called the Knitting Pattern Central? (knittingpatterncentral.com). It has tons of easy patterns for just about anything!

OMG. That is BRILLIANT! I would LOVE that! Then again, i'm the only person I know that is addicted to both Starbucks and knitting. What size cup did you use?

Try some of these:

Actually, I saw it like that first in the bookstore. They were made to look like smoothies :p

Thanks everyone for the help! I found a really nice bookmark pattern since she and my dad are always getting new cookbooks and stuff, and she asked me a while back if I had any bookmark patterns...  perfect Smiley
