so, i had a pink saten skirt that i had made in home ec. it didnt really match anything, so i never wore it. but, instead of making it more wearable, me and my friend decided to take it to the extreme. 2 hours, tons of cutting, and about 6 yards of tulle later, we came up with the ballerina-on-crack skirt. hope you like. its the first thing, besides resizing t-shirts, that ive ever made. :] thanks!

Nice one!  Great job with that skirt, i've always been frightened of working with tulle.

it's a good thing that's just a picture - I can't resist pushing people in the water, especially when precariously balanced. Good work on the revamp!

thanks for all the feedback! it gets some strange looks, but its fun to wear.

it was pretty easy to make. theres the satin underskirt, then on top of that there's a layer of thicker netted tulle, which was 5 yards long, then we scrunched it up as we pushed it through the sewing machine. then, on top of that, there are two layers of colored, thinner tulle, which are 10 inch wide pannels in 4 different colors, that we scrunched and sewed, then connected to the next pannel. they arent connected vertically, they move around themselves. it was really easy, the longest part was just cutting everything out.

thanks again!

That's beautiful and you look gorgeous in it! Oh, that water makes me want to jump right in it and splash around, haha! I'm surprised it took only 6 yards, it looks so poofy:)
