so i had this skirt that just didn't fit me anymore but i  didn't want to get rid of it so i cut off the top and a little sewing later... it fits!

very cool, simple idea...  plus that way the length matches those odd lengthed "rockabilly"[??] type skirts that are in now.  anyway... way to rock the ill fitting skirt, chica  Kiss

This is a fantastic idea, btu I'm afraid it wouldn't work with my plaid mini skirts from my ska show days!  I have so many i would love to wear again.  If i did this i'm afraid i might end up with Cheek-showing skirts!  Any ideas?  I can't bear to throw away my cute skirts!

you could maybe add a piece of fabric that somewhat matches so you would have a striped fabric panel skirt... i hope that makes sense... when i was in bloomingdales a few weeks ago i saw a skirt that look so super simple... i will try to find a picture... and they were selling it for $140!! it was crazy!!! let me try to find a picture to give you a better idea...

way cute stuff. it reminded me that we had saved some skirts form when i was younger cuz the material was so nifty. we've been meaning to do something with them and now  is the time!!! thanks for the inspiration Smiley
