ok, this might seem like an unusual request, BUT I was wondering if anyone knew where one could purchase a specific plaid pattern.  I'm looking for my grandmothers family plaid, she got a ton of it in Scotland many years ago, but all I have left of it is like a foot square scrap.  (She made the most hideous pants out of it for my dad.  It still sends me into fits of laughter when I think about them.)  On that note, I thought that I would make myself a jacket out it... heehee.

You should be able to do a web search for "family tartans" (that's what those plaids are called) or "kilts" and find lots of websites. My husband and son are renting kilts for a wedding and family tartans are also sold by the yard from the same catalog. If I recall, the website is scottishlion.com. They have a tartan finder.
