This was so much more elaborate than what I normally make and took me a long time. I'm still not convinced I put the back neck facing in correctly. I did at as my august project (theme: fill a gap in your fall wardrobe) for the Sewretro sewalong I'm doing

That fabric is amazing.  And I think the big buttons are a perfect balance to the fabric.  I'm a big retro style lover myself, so I can really appreciate this adorable jacket.  Does it look good buttoned?  Or is a mostly a wrap-and-tie only look?

Wow, that's cute! I've heard some crazy things about Hotpatterns' pattern drafting, though - did you have any problems with the drafting or the instructions? I love how it turned out...

Thanks so much!

I'm pretty happy with my button choice - they're coconut. I button all three or just the bottom two. the ties are attached, not separate, so you pretty much have to wrap them.

It was a difficult pattern. I may have found a drafting error: when I laid out my pattern, there was no cuff piece! However, I'd cut out the paper pieces a few months ago, so I don't know if **I** lost it, or if it was never there. The facings were also a teensy bit short.

I made the artful dodger pattern a while ago and did have drafting problems - facings were WAY too short, and some places that said "cut 1" should have been "cut 2"

Thanks for all your compliments!
