i made that too! in pink/white variegated cotton. i entered it into a local agricultural fair's needlework exhibition and took home 3rd place in the crochet shawl category  Grin

i also made it in light blue caron simply soft, but it just won't hold it's shape at all when worn. and i messed it up... there's a typo in the shell instructions. i figured it out and just adapted the piece and kept going.

now my mom loves it so much that she stole it from me and she's making me make it for her using lion brand jiffy yarn in black (it's acrylic mohair) so she can wear it to a black tie event she's going to in december. i have so many other projects, i'm not sure i have the time to get it done!

yours looks amazing! i totally love it in the solid pink! and it's so not granny-ish! shawls like that are so in style right now!
