I indulged in some heavy retail therapy by attending the Rockhound Gemboree - a rock and gem enthusiasts haven and trade fair which happen annually in little old Bancroft Ontario.  Soooooo many good finds but silver was excutiatingly expensive this year...so I splurged on the multitudes of pearls and shell beads over anything else.

Here are a couple of creations which came out of my indulgences:

A multistrand necklace featuring matte and glossy turquoise coloured sead beads, red bamboo coral and a cute little filigree turtle for good measure.

This bracelet has become one of my favourite pieces of jewellry to wear.  The stars are dyed mother of pearl and between each one is an itty bitty randomly coloured agate seed bead.  I'm kicking myself for buying only one strand of each of those.

Let me know what you think!

I'm impressed. Both of them are beautiful! I think the first one is my favorite because of the different strands of beads.

thank you.  thank you for the kind words.

I'm a big fan of the asymmetry tihing too...it drives my mum nuts Wink

The star beads are wonderful - I catch myself getting caught up in their lustres and little imperfections and things at work.  My bad.
