I am so, so glad you like everything!  You have no idea how worried I was that I hadn't sent enough.

(This is what I think I love best about swap galleries -- other people's photos of my work are SO much better than *my* photos of the same stuff!)

Get knitting, girl!  The only reason even part of your card-crafting kit was loose in the box is that I couldn't figure out how to make it fit in the Yarn Blob. (I'd totally be unravelling the blob to get at the stuff inside, but that's just me.  I'm ridiculously impatient when it comes to goodies.)

Beautiful handmade notecards, all with Shakespeare quotes! (Properly notated, too! *swoon*)

Glad my unending English-degree-in-progres is good for something!  Wink

are you ready for this?
the second package from alwaysinmyroom was actually for my boyfriend!  i guess she felt bad for stealing me away all this time and wanted to make him feel better!  it worked!

he was very curious to see a swap package addressed to him!  she knew that we looooove cooking (we stage iron chef competitions!) and he loveeeeeees sushi!

inside was an apron for him:

an apron for me (also i included the scarf she made in the photo):

and japanese yummies!

there is a copy of her hubby's cd, japanese cookbook, roasted seaweed, sushi molds, botan rice candy, wasabi hot radish, rice sprinkles, aaaaaaaaand (what i started jumping up and down about reading over his shoulder) POCKY!!!

the whole ordeal was quite funny.  i had to tell him to stop putting everything away before i got pictures of it all.  then he unwrapped the rice candy for me and told me to try it.
bf: try this.
me: with the paper on?
bf: just eat it.
me: UNWRAP it?

i stole that and the pocky.  mine all mine!!!
THEN she invited us over for dinner too!  we humbly accept.  we will be there with bells on!

thanks again, linda!  you're truly the best and most generous craftster i've ever known!   Grin

I love those aprons!

It's really taking the majority of my willpower not to just unravel the ball and reveal everything immediately.
If I don't find a pattern to work on quickly, though, that might not last much longer.

LOOKING FOR A PERSONAL SWAP: I'm hoping for dinosaur-themed Xmas crackers, or other dinosaur Xmas items. I can make a Jayne Cobb hat, or many other things!
