I tried to make gir, but I couldn't figure out how to make his head squarish enough!! Then my bf wanted me to make the robot gir and stuff it INSIDE the dog gir... I gave up about then.

If you want some guidance on making one, I'd be happy to help.  It's not really all that difficult once you start 

The head is easy.  Just start with a square, then crochet around like you're making a square 'bowl'.  Taper down to the neck and do a tiny body!
