Here's my octopus. I made a hat for my friend's little boy for his first birthday. I had some yarn left so I made the octopus. I gave him a hat because I wasn't sure if I would have enough of one colour. I changed the pattern a bit by not making the body in two parts, I just decreased down to the bottom. Apparantly the octopus is having his legs chewed a lot now!

I know my cousin's baby--who chews on anything that sticks out at him--would love that octopus! I might have to fast-forward my plans to learn to crochet...

I made it out of cotton, which would probably be the best to withstand serious sucking!

I love octothingies so much. You have no idea how happy a new version of these cute creatures makes me! If I crochet one, I'll post a pic here for you. Thanks for the pattern!

Oh wow...I've got neices and nephews out the yingyang and they would love these.  I've also got cheap acrylic yarn.  Hmm, this may require a WalMart trip for some filling.  Great pics and wonderful pattern.  Thanks!

My husband says I should cut back.
I tell him, it's better than a really bad drug problem.

Just wanted to show you all my octopus, my son named him Stanley.
He is a bit dirty and his legs are not evenly spaced but we love anyway!
It's my first ever go at amigurumi and I loved making him  Grin
