Those are so adorable!!!

I'm not sure of the policy, but my guess would be if it is your own pattern, you should be able to share it. But like I said, I'm not sure. If you find out that you can, I would love to use it. I just started to crochet and I want to make one!

I've been reading up on this topic and found this thread that dicusses it quite thouroghly (and heatedly at times!).  It seems at though there is a lot of controversy surrounding the topic of originality and copying, but the consensus seems that as long as its not a direct copy or being sold that it's okay to make it.  If I were to tut I would request that the octies wouldn't be sold.  Does this seem in the right to everyone?  If so I'll try to get a tut together sometime tomorrow.

That sounds right. As long as both the pattern and the creation are used for personal use only, its ok to post.
Thank you so much for doing this - I'm sure many of us will be making some!

Stop being so damned positive. Staring at the sun only blinds some one. By only looking at the positive, you miss an entire beautiful world of shadows and colors. Don't be overly negative, be realistic. The world is so much more complex and beautiful that way.
