Hi

I am seriously tempted to ask for these for my Christmas (I know I'm early!!) but I've noticed a few mentions online of mistakes in the patterns. Vogue's site only has a couple of corrections so I was wondering if anyone had these and what they thought. They are sooo pretty.

I think that I was looking (no, drooling) at those today at the book store!  There are two volumes, yeah?  The stitches featured are indeed amazing--I've found quite a few like it for free online but having a put together book is pretty handy and efficient.  I haven't read anything negative about them but it's something you should definetely consider.  Maybe Vogue has published corrected versions since then?

You say 'kitschy' like it's a bad thing.

I've heard really good things about these books. From what I know, there are only a few typos in them. The corrections can be found online if I'm not mistaken.

I like to do personal swaps now and again.

I knit, crochet, and make stitch markers.

Just pm me if you wanna swap. Smiley

No, I was merely reading the Muggle magazines. I do love knitting patterns.

the vogue books are nice, but i always have to recommend the barbara walker knitting treasuries. they each have hundreds of amazing stitch patterns, the only downfall being that they happen to be in black and white.

Thanks for the replies - I don't know if I just want them cos they're beautiful!!! I managed to snag a copy of the first Barbara Walker Treasury on Ebay so that might sate me for a while - but I am so addicted to buying knitting books!!

They're quite nice. My only complaint is a couple horrendous colors in the first one. I hear better things about the Barbara Walker treasuries though. I want those but I'm having trouble finding them anywhere but online. Sad
