Will this be more of a surprise package kind of swap or are we trying to tailer our envelope to our partners (if possible)?? I've been looking thru the giant stash and have found stuff I've forgotten I had - should be fun trying to get it stuffed into an envelope!
Thanx to all of you who are willing to swap outside the US-sometimes I feel so far away here in Canada
If its any consolation we really get screwed price-wise by Canada Post to send anywhere-even in Canada. But its all worth it for new paper goodies!

I have been starting to cull through my stash and make a pile of what I'll be sending. When I get my partner, I'll see what sort of thing stuff they're interested in, and try to add that to the mix.

I'm considering this.
Just wondering though...is there a section on the questionairre where we can say what kind of paper we would like to recieve and/or are able to send eg styles, sizes etc?

Lots of questions! Ok, let's see....

In addition to the vintage paper, books, and misc. ephemera I have, I also have the Ephemera and More Ephemera books that have some cool things in them. Would it be ok to add one of those books or part of it into a package for this? It wouldn't be all i send, but i want to add some of the pages as i have an extra book i got for $4 at Archiver's. SO i guess i am asking if those type of book pages or photocopies of them are cool to add to the packages in addition to old original ephemera.
I feel that the pages from the books themselves would be ok (I want some! mmmm!). Photocopies are a bit iffy, but since it comes under the heading of paper, put 'em in!

The basic concept is a surprise swap. If when communicating with your partner you discover you're both scrapbooking fiends (for example) and want to only send stuff tailored to that craft, more power to you! But there is no expectation at all that you have to tailor your send envelope to your partner(s).

Nope. This is a surprise swap, the closest you get to asking for something specific is envelope size, which is a suggestion for what you and your partner should be sending. Sending a 12x15 sized envelope and filling it with 8x11 stuff is just uncool.
Everyone:
This is a quick little swap for envelopes of paper and ephemera. The option of going up an envelope size is so the people that have and want 12"x12" pages can participate as well. While you don't want to just fill the envelope with yesterday's newspaper, stick a stamp on it and send it, you also don't need to worry about being specific in what you send. If it's paper, it's fair game. There are so many varied and fabulous uses for paper that I'm sure we can all find a use for what we get.
Edit: Please check the galleries from previous rounds to get an idea of what to send, and what you may receive. I've linked to them in the first post of the thread.

so for whatever size envelope we chose, does the majority of the paper/ephemera that goes in the envelope have to be of that size or do we just fill it to the top with any size of paper. the reason i'm asking is because most of the things I would be able to send are postcards, origami papers, bits of nice wrapping paper and maybe some interesting brochure/flier type thingies. these are all fairly small in size, but would it be ok if i just fill the envelope as much as i can, even if the actual individual pieces of ephemera aren't as large as the envelope.
does this make sense? sorry if i've confused anyone.

actually, that brings up a concern for me too. because i put i would like to send 8 1/2 x 11 but that i'm flexible and can send the larger size, in my questionnaire. but if i have to send pages that are actually that size, then i'll have to stick to the 81/2 x 11. i thought it was more along the lines of filling that particular envelope size, not really the size of paper you're sending. sorry, just trying to clarify, not be a pain.

I'm happy to receive (and send) different sizes of bits and bobs of paper if that helps when partnering up?

Oh yes, I was under the impression that we'd send all different types/sizes of paper. I've got some 8.5 x 11 sheets that I'd probably send, as well as little bits of various ephemera. I was just going to stuff the envelope with all sorts of things.

I have various sizes of fun things to stuff with, too. I do altered books and atc cards, so I don't really need 12x12 pages. I like all kinds of interesting things, like the postcards and origami paper.
