Just learned how to do this a few weeks ago and I'm so totally hooked.  I love how I can combine my jewelry-making skills with stamping/photography/collage whatever.  There's going to be loads more where these came from:

Yes, I'm a geek...so what?  Roll Eyes

These exemplify why this is so dangerous: I'd picked out my outfit for the next day
and decided I needed to make these to match...If I'm not careful, I could see myself
doing that every night.

Wow these are beautiful. I'm quite sure you could get some she-she boutique to fork out for these. They are simplistic, arttistic, and quite in ventive on the jewerly front. Speaking of, what's on the backing? Silver yes, or stainless steel?  How'd you do Einstein & "print" him on it? Well done!

The secret is microscope slides/cover slips and foil tape for stained glass windows.  You can put anything you want in between the two layers of glass.  On the copper one it's copper-colored paper and an image with silver embossing powder.  The other two are similar but I also stamped on the glass itself (on the inside).

Thanks!  I'm actually planning on selling online starting next year (figure take the next few months to build up stock and then get my tax ID in January so I can have a full year of selling before I have to worry about taxes).

See above for how they're made.

The Einstein is a stamp I bought several months ago...not knowing what I was going to use him for, but I'm a science geek and totally fell in love with it so I had to have it.

And.. I suddenly need to buy microscope slides. Who knew I would
ever need such a thing?  These are awesome. entirely. love the einstein
one, it's so appropriate with the microscope thing. ^^

I'm wondering though, wouldn't you need to worry about them breaking if dropped?
I remember coverslips especially being very fragile..

The cover slips are definitely very delicate.  With those, I reinforce with some chipboard/lightweight cardboard sandwiched in between the layers.  Haven't dropped any yet, so don't know the fragility for sure...

No.  It's a foil tape so it's tacky on one side and very malleable.  The one issue is finding it in silver. Most stores I've been to (even a specialty stained glass store) carry copper only.  It's pretty, and I've made stuff with it as well, but I'm partial to the silver.  You can find it online.
