hello all!
It has been WAY too long since i posted on craftster! But i am having a crafty emergency!

So, i work at an animal hospital, and a while back we recived about 30  average sized perscription bottles without caps. My manager was going to toss em out but i couldnt bear to let all that shiny clear plastic go into the trash.

so now they are in my house staring at me saying "MAKE SOMETHING!!! ANYTHING, YOU CLUTTERBUG!" thinking about cutting them into rings and doing something with those, or melting them or something.

i dunno.

You could get fake flowers from the dollar/craft store and dark colored beads and make tiny (fake) flower pots to give out as gifts... Or you could cut them and melt them into a hippie-flower shaped bowl...

You could stack them up in a tower and then knock them down over and over and over again!

For a while i've been wanting to make a art lamp thing. With presciption bottles on a shelf and a light bulb on a string- maybe christmas lights- in each one.
Whatever you do make sure to post it!

not sure how wide they are... votive candle holders? and if the wax dripped down the side that would look even cooler. or heck, use them to MAKE votive candles! unless they would melt...

you could use them to keep little odds and ends in. But I always like the idea of melting things down just watch out for fumes.

foxy and crafty!

i read this from another forum, but i cant remember if it was under the valentines or what. you can fill the bottles with candy and on the outside write a fake "prescription" to your honey, friend whoever. like take 3 a day for a hangover, heartbreak, or whatever.  or you could put little nice notes in them, and do the same idea. that way, whoever is recieving the gift gets a nice msg every day from you. sorry this one isnt completely thought through yet...im going to do this for my boyfriend for valentines, i just dont know what to write the prescription for.lol.  Grin
