maybe send crafty organizing things?  like hand-painted or decaupauged or something boxes with labels like "scraps", "paper", "misc", "glue", whatever.

Heck, I'd love to be organized, any way possible!  Actually, I'd just need to send you all stuff that I am not going to use no matter what I think!

This seems like a cute swap. I'm so disorganized. Although even when I have storage I don't use it, but maybe crafty ones will encourage me.

i organized my accordion file of various papers last night... and ended up with a HUGE bag of stuff to shred.  tell me, why did i keep a copy of every bill and bank statement i've ever received?

This sounds fun! How about it could go something like this:

1. In the questionnaire we answer what we need organized.
2. After getting paired up, each person sends her partner a photo of the disorganized stuff and a list of what all the stuff is.
3. Then each partner would devise some kind of organization system for each other, be it boxes, bags, baskets, hooks, etc.
4. Then we post before and after pictures of the space/items that have been organized.

Yes. I think that would be awesome!

I was just discussing proposing a swap like this with another member because we are both HUGE organization nerds.
I am getting ready to move (on Friday) and once I get settled and all the boxes unpacked I will be able to figure out what I am in need of for the new place.  I will need plenty of new stuff I'm sure (especially since I am getting ready to learn a few new crafts).
Is anyone else still interested in this... maybe at the end of Feb./begining of March??

I've never organized a swap before, but I suppose if NO ONE else wanted to, I could do it.  It will definitely have to be after I get settled in my new place though, my goal is to have everything unpacked by the end of Feb., so if by then no one else has stepped up I guess I will figure out how to set it up and get the ball rolling.

I know how you feel with being sick for the past 2-3 weeks, lasandri, I got it first, then my husband, then my son, it was the first time he had ever been sick and he's 16 months.  They both got through it pretty quick but mine lingered the whole time, it was really lame.  Not to mention that I wasn't able to get any packing done for a week straight, thank goodness my mom came to visit/help me pack, otherwise I wouldn't be posting this right now because I would be pulling my hair out and trying to claw my way out of a mountain of boxes and paper.

Ok, enough rambling...

interesting swap. I hope you manage to get it off the ground...even if I can't join (no more swaps until I'm caught up on stuff! That's organizing, too, isn't it? Wink). But I definitely want to see what you all come up with

Sorry I've been gone so long. Am trying to get back on the boards. Body's thrown me for a few loops these past months and am still learning to adjust. Thanks for your patience.

Ah yes Zelda.Suicide and I have pondered this very swap via email many many times!  Grin  I would love to participate but I need one more swap (the newbie swappers *currently swapping* are planning a round 2 for sophmore swaps so we can get that 2nd one under our belt so we can do any swap)!  I would love to do this swap if it is still available...

In a lot of words I am saying: awesome!  Cheesy

Just an fyi...you only need *1* swap under your belt, then you are cleared to sign up for as many as five. You need *two* swaps done before you can *organize* a swap - but not to participate! :-)

I'm bumping this again, to see where everyone is on interest.  I have pretty much gotten everything unpacked and in it's place (well, what's not unpacked is hiding in closets and doesn't need to be unpacked until it's needed).

I am starting to feel a little anxious about organizing but I can if no one else wants too.  If that's the case, I will have more questions...
