I painted this desk a while back; I had purchased it at a good will. The drawers were painted paisley to match my bed--a stupid idea beacuse i changed bedspreads a week later haha but it's still cool. The top is just paper squares form a scrapbook store that I cut into "tiles" and put modge podge over. But don't use the glossy mod podge cuz it's sortof "sticky ?" after it dries and magazines and crap will stick to it. Rackycoo suggests using the matte version that Mod Podge makes, so it wont be sticky.

Those are the tiles...Yup.

And the not-matching-my-bed-spread tiles....here.

Fantastic!! I have a bedside table at home that has been 'overpainted' white (also from a thrift store) and have been tossing up what to do with it for a while. I think I have found my new inspiration!!

Fantasitic!!  I've thought of doing the same thing with origami paper, then it wouldn't need to be cut.  I can never find it in prints though, always just solid colours.  Scrapbook paper looks wonderful!!
