Another one inspired by Readymade magazine. In the latest issue they had instructions for making a standing bookcase out of 2 suitcases...but our apt doesn't have too much xtra floor space - but we do have high ceilings! Just pry off the lids of suitcases (don't worry - I've got plans for those), attach the suitcases to each other, then use the old "L" wall supports and attach to the wall. I especially enjoy the juxtapose of my boyfriend's playstation games with the antique cases...

Thanks for looking!

Well...why buy shelves for $$ when you can use what you have!

I saw this done on one of them home design shows, they did the suitcases and put funky fabric on the inside and painted the outside and showcased the homeowners purses in the "cases" on the wall. I never thought I'd see it done on here! That is sooo cool.

You came in from the darkness and held the door open wide
You stood there like a vision before my unbelieving eyes
I believe in what I see and also what I hear
But did the night play tricks on me or were you really there.

Me too! There are so many things you can do with them: I've made these shelves, a little table (posted on this board somewhere), they're good for shrines (either big or small) or dioramas....or just stacking all pretty in the corner (if you have the room!).

Thats awesome!

If I had space on my walls I would totally do that, and add an old trunk for a table (and staorage) nearby.
