Hi Leah
I just had a quick questions - I have my shop address on my profile, but I haven't put any posts advertising it. However, the stuff I sell is up in My Pictures because they are the only pics I have of the stuff I like to make. Is that ok? And if I posted a picture in a post without mentioning my shop, would that still be ok?
Thanks

This may get me in trouble, but I'm gonna bring it up anyway. Isn't putting a signature at the bottom of a person's post with an certain online site where their items can be bought a form of advertising? I also have an address with a site like that, but I don't list it in the quilting forums I belong to. I believe it is a form of self-advertisement. By putting that website on your post you are,in fact, telling people where to find items that you have for sale.To me, that's wrong. If I want to advertise my work,I will pay for it.

Yepper, it is a form of advertising, but we do allow it.  We want to support small businesses, especially crafty ones.  We just don't want them to take over the content of the community/the actual posts.  We definitely don't want to shut out small business all together, so we allow the links in signatures (and business logos in avatars).  It's our compromise.
