I can vouch for Iqjones.  She is a great swapper.  I have been in many swaps with her.  Overseas mailing sucks.  I lost a doll between Minnesota and Australia.  Good luck, M.  I hope your package arrives.

You are the sweetest!!!
I wholeheartedly agree-- overseas mailing is sucky! The international community of Post Offices should get together & sort out their problems. Don't they know they are making life hard on us crafters?!?

I can't figure out why people do this.  It's so disheartening to spend a bunch of time (which I have very little of with two small children) and money (which is also hard to come by) on a swap when the recipient never acknowledges its receipt or bothers to post about it.

Between bad experiences with the deco swaps and swap partners who can't be bothered to acknowledge that they've received their goodies (and maybe even liked it a little), I'm just about to give up on craftster swapping.

I am with you on that one - I have been burned on swaps for a total of around 6 times!!  Its very disheartening - I am still waiting on a swap I did in June!! (from the Swap Shop mind you)  Its incredibly disheartening.

One person went so far as to send me crap and not thank me....grrrrrr..... we need a angry stern face in insert here.....

I agree that posting when you receive your item should be mandatory. I also think it would be good to have feedback ratings for swapping so people can see how you have done in the past. That way people don't have to swap with people that haven't shown they are committed to making it a cool experience for everyone. Knowing you will be getting feedback posted to your profile would motivate people to stay on top of this stuff.

I just did my first swap and sent out some things I was really proud of promptly and got the delivery confirmation some time ago, but no word from the person who got it, even though I sent them a tracking number and asked if they could post pics when they receive it since I didn't get a chance to take some because I was in a rush to get the package out on time.

Meanwhile, this person has posted other comments in the swap thread.  Huh

Some people just don't seem to get Etiquette.
Some people PM instead of posting-- that's okay, but they really need to let the swap organizer know!!!

yeah, i always post in the gallery, but sometimes i pm as well. i always pm if i've sent it and havent heard anything for like 2 weeks. if these people are so inconsiderate on a craft forum, imagine how they are in real life.

punkrockgirl, if you mean me, I apologize for not posting yet about what you sent me. Embarrassed  I just got back into town Monday night and I usually like to post when I can include a picture.  Right now I can't find my digital camera, and need to ask my hubby what he did with it.

I'm always sorta torn in this regard.  I hate to wait, but I also hate to not include a picture.  I suppose at the very least I should have PMd you.  I'm really sorry that you got a bad impression of me.  I'll post now and add a picture later when I find the camera.

I am irritated because I sent packages out and my secret craftster has yet to comment on my last two packages....I am not asking for a parade, just a confirmation that it was received.....

Sorry to overreact Xmelinda. I think I was a little jumpy because it's my first swap. Thanks so much for acknowledging you got the package Smiley I totally understand about the pictures. I think I might feel the same way. PM'ing seems to be a good idea.

Also, now my sender posted to day to say her package is headed my way late. I feel much better now. My faith in craftster swappers is restored and hopefully I won't be so quick to jump to conclusions next time.
