Yeah! I'll make all mine multi colored to be fair, and to get some flavor kickin' in my afghan.

Better get hookin' beeeoootch!

I made this blanket with all (ok some) of my scraps

It is just one giant granny square, when a color ran out I just tied a new one on and kept going, it is a good size couch blanket, my boys just love to cuddle with it

woah! Jennickell i love your version, but it must be a torture in the end to carry around all those weight.

i have some crap acrylic stash i want to destash and i have been eyeing the color bar blanket (i dont have the book) but my stash is not in the same gauge so i was thinking it would be wonky... but i will give it a go.

but also i have more stash to go through so i might steal this hexagon granny idea of yours. but oh i hate all those finishings i have to admit (thats why i adore knitting in the rounds)...

I started one of those hex granny quilts too!  I was so inspired by the one I saw posted here in the completed projects area.  I am doing my grannies in multi colors.  I don't know how many I have so far, but I have a bag full.  Haven't calculated how many I am going to need.

Okay, I lost my own challenge - but I came pretty darn close.  I crocheted 18 hex's since Friday night. I would have gotten the whole twenty but I had red sox tix last night and with the rain delay I didn't even get home until 3am. Ack!

But I love the multicolored. They are worth the extra ends...

And you? How'd you do?

eep! you did so mannnnnny grannies! these look great, staysha! your challenge prompted me to do a granny inventory to see what lies ahead... i didn't make the 20 granny goal either--after counting and checking my pattern i realized i only needed 13 more hexes!

here's a look at my most recent hexes. all 39 were completed since the end of july. my 13 newest ones are in the stacks.

and, a peek at the 33 hexagons already joined:

some of the 70 grannies ready for joining are here:

because i'm going granny ga-ga i took a few more photos...see 'em here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/55047780@N00/

Oh my goodness! I'm wicked jealous!  I can't believe how far ahead you are!  Did you sc them all with brown and then join with brown?  I was going to join with either brown or navy, but I was worried about the dark color...

Also, how are you joining them?  I keep flip flopping as to how I'm going to do it.

Seeing yours all together will definitely keep me motivated - it looks amazing!
