This is the first thing I have made since I did GCSE textiles 8 years ago!

This is the pattern:

It's New Look #6462 and I did look B. I was really easy. I probably could have got the whole thing done in an afternoon if I had a better attention span. It has a zip which I'm really pleased about since my new machine didn't come with a zipper foot and the machine shop in town has decided not to open at all this week. So I have to thank the random woman I harrassed in Boyes yesterday at the pattern table who told me how to put in a zip without a zipper foot.

This is what I am planning on doing next:

It's New Look 6515 and the fabric is a 1970s duvet cover from a junk shop that cost the grand total of 4. I might even have enough to get a top and skirt out of it.

Thanks! My Boyes isn't that big but the patterns are cheap. They never seem to have any useful fabric but the machine shop across the road is excellent, when they're open anyway.

Thanks! I'm not sure I'm going to make the trousers, but I'll be making the skirt again.
