Back in February, I bought a sh*tload of baby fingering weight yarn, intending to make a blanket for a co-worker's impending baby.  Well, the blanket was a bit too ambitious for my crocheting abilites and never got made (baby arrived in April, so I'm quite late!).  However, I haven't been able to find any other patterns that use fingering weight yarn!  Can anyone point me to some (preferably fairly easy) blanket patterns?  Is there anything else I can do with this yarn?  I find it rather difficult to work with unfortunately...  It's much too late to return it, so now I'm stuck with 2 skeins each of baby blue, green, yellow and white!

Unless you'd love to take it off my hands! =) Please do suggest something for me to do with this yarn, I'd hate for it to go to waste.

Muchas gracias!

What brand of yarn is it? I might be interested in buying it or trading for it if you dont find something to do with it...you could make a bunch of booties and caps and donate them to a preemie ward or a birthing center. Cheesy thats what I would be doing with it. LOL

You can always hold more than 1 strand together-2 or 3 would be good for another project like a small afghan or something.

It's Red Heart brand yarn.  I only used a little bit of one of the skeins of blue in my feeble attempt to create something (and I gave up rather quickly I'm afraid!).  I just can't seem to work with it well, I feel very clumsy with this yarn!  I'm still a fairly inexperienced crocheter, so maybe that's it.  Anyway, if you'd like it, let me know, my e-mail is uriellasky at yahoo dot com.  Smiley

This dress pattern I have is very cute, but I could never find baby weight yarn in a color I would wear. I can't get it to link, thought . . . um . . . tell me if you want the pattern and I'll email it to you
