Looks cute so far, Gloriana.
I started this last night but only got 4 rows done.  I want to knit more so badly but I have been so busy....and I have a deadline for a sweater for a shop.
Maybe I'll go back and forth, knit on this sweater for a few rows then switch to the other.

Here's a progress pic of my Rusted Root:

I was surprised at how quickly I got through the yoke and sleeves.  Now that I'm on the body, it goes so much faster.  I'm hoping to have this done before the end of the month.

As you can see, I started with the ribbing at the neckline - no problems there as far as I can tell.

the color is nice!

Thanks, folks - I actually finished it up this week.  Here's the photo:

More photos and notes are at my blog.  I must say I'm quite happy with this project - both process and product turned out well.

I just started this project and am on round 8.  I've been reading that the puff sleeves get lost; it's my fav part of the sweater.  Can you rec how I can avoid losing the puffiness?  I am a beginner knitter, but am getting some help.  It's my first sweater!

I made the small, and my puff sleeves didn't get too lost (I'm considering remaking this sweater too - it's so fun, and I made some mistakes the first time.)  What I did was block the sweater with balls of paper stuffed inside the sleeves.  That gave it a pretty good puff.  I will say that my sweater fits looser than the models, and that probably helped... I think that on a more snug sweater the poofs might stretch out.  In that case, you could try making the sleeves for a larger size.

I will say that my sweater fits looser than the models,

would most of you say that your final product is a bit on the large side?  I had started this twice with it ending up way too big...I thought that it was just my gauge...maybe I will try again.

I'm just finishing up my Rusted Root, and I found it to be a bit, um, snug across the breasticles.  Maybe I'm just in denial about my size and should have made it a little bigger:-)

I just cast on for Rusted Root today! Woot! I'm using the Cotton Fleece in "Banana," which is a really soft yellow. I can't wait to see how it turns out.
