beautiful, bigang 100!  I like the way it looks in black- it makes the lace look sexier.

The WIPs and FOs of Rusted Root all look great!  I have the pattern and will look at working on it after some of my other patterns on the 2007 list.

Too bad a KAL was never done on this one.

Isn't this a Knit-a-long?  What other kind would there be?

I'm part of a KAL and they usually have a start date and end date for everyone to work on the project.  I don't think anything formal happened with it.  I did put Rusted Root as my entry in the SKC's next KAL, so maybe I'll get to do the project with that group there.  Some of the entries on this thread is from 2006.

I don't typically see start/stop dates on this site.  Some of the KALs can continue on for a long time with new people continually joining as others have finished and moved on.

For k1, yo, p1, you start with your wool at the back like you always do for a knit,

-do the k1, your wool will be at the back still
-do a normal yo, your wool will be at the back again (like when you have just done a knit)
-bring the wool to the front like you always do when going from a knit to a purl, so you are ready to do a purl, now do the purl

does that make sense?

Yep, start and end dates don't really happen here on craftster like on formalized KALs. That is what is so great about it!

Glad to help - I'm not even sure I will buy and do this pattern but it is definitely appealing!

That looks great! I think a less puffy sweater works.  I'm hoping to start mine sometime in April.
